WNYT – NBC 13

Erector Sets got a chance to work with another Hubbard Broadcasting station when we redesigned the set for WNYT. The broadcast set design maximized the studio space to provide many shooting areas.

The weather area features a 75″ touch screen and working weather presentation desk. In the anchor area, the right and left walls feature large 84″ monitors for the backgrounds of the single shots.

For the main center background, we use a Rosco Day/Night Backdrop. With the combination of double sided printing and altering the amount of back light versus front, we are able to change the cityscape graphic to reflect the quality of light outside at time of the broadcast.

In the interview area, the custom CNC cut texture walls on right and left create a dramatic perspective and draw the eye into the main color changing graphic wall. The set also features two additional stand-up areas and a large green screen cyc.
